An attorney has been arrested on charges he misrepresented an inmate in the Berks County Jail.
David J. DelCollo surrendered to detectives with the Berks County district attorney's office on Wednesday.
DelCollo accepted $1,900 from the inmate to handle his robbery case, but DelCollo never provided him with any legal services, officials said.
Detectives said their investigation revealed that DelCollo visited the inmate at the jail one time on Oct. 4, 2012, arriving at 10:53 a.m. and leaving at 11:12 a.m.
DelCollo, 32, of Temple, was charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. He was freed on $10,000 unsecured bail.
