Berks woman demands justice for 'soul mate' of more than 50 years
A Berks County widow is demanding answers and begging for justice after criminals stole some of her most prized possessions nearly a year ago.
"The more I think about it, the more I cry," said Amelia Biancone.
Nearly a year ago, her husband Dick lost his life to lung cancer.
"He was the love of my life..my soul mate," Biancone said.
But before cancer robbed her of her husband, burglars stole something else special to her.
"Now I don't have my husband, or any memories of stuff that he bought me," Biancone said.
Weeks after her husband's diagnoses, burglars nabbed nearly $50,000 dollars worth of jewelry from their Reading home. Dick passed away four weeks later.
"There's a lot of stuff that can't be replaced. All gifts from my husband, birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day," Biancone said.
Biancone blames the burglars for stealing more than just her jewels.
"The robbery accelerated my husband's death, and I'll say that until the day I die," Biancone said.
She said she needs someone to come forward and tell police what happened so she can have a sense of closure.
