Christmas will come alive with an all-day celebration of the holiday in Birdsboro next month.

The 5th annual "Christmas in Birdsboro" celebration is scheduled to take place Dec. 14, starting with a breakfast with Santa Claus at the Boone Area Library, 129 N. Mill St., from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

That will be followed by the Birdsboro Community Center's Christmas craft show, featuring more than 40 local artisans and crafters, from noon until 7 p.m. A variety of children's activities, including face-painting and cookie-decorating, will get underway at 3 p.m.

Christmas music will fill the air at Main Bird Park, located at Main and Water streets, starting at 4:30 p.m. Christmas Marketplace vendors will be on hand with warm food and items for sale.

A live Nativity, horse-drawn carriage rides, center stage entertainment and photos with Santa will begin at 5 p.m.

The day of festivities will conclude at 8 p.m. with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and fireworks.
