The Brandywine Heights High School softball team has won its first state championship in AA softball.
The Bullets won the elusive title by defeating Riverside 1-0 in State College on Friday.
This was the fifth trip to the state championship in the last nine years for the Bullets, but their first title win.
Megan Olsen threw a complete game shutout for Brandywine. She allowed just four hits, walked one, and struck out four.
The Bullets' only run came on an RBI single by Jess Musser, which scored Amanda Hess in the fourth inning.
Brandywine finishes its season at 27-2.
WFMZ's Dan Moscaritolo was in State College for the game. He'll have much more, including highlights and reaction, in a report on 69 News at 5:30.
