Brett Youmans competing again in Pillsbury bake-off contest
Last chance for Berks County man to win $1 million
A Berks County man is once again trying to bake his way into winning $1 million.
Brett Youmans is one of 60 semifinalists competing in the 46th Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest.
Youmans, competing in the "simple sweets and appetizers" categories, is hoping his recipe for "heavenly hazelnut torte with mascarpone cream" will be one of 34 chosen in online voting for the competition's next round.
Youmans, of Lower Alsace Township, was a finalist in the past two contests, winning one of the coveted prizes and appearing on the Martha Stewart Show last year.
This is Youmans' last chance to go for the grand prize of $1 million because finalists can compete only three times, organizers said.
Round 2 of online voting is open through 1 p.m. on June 27.
Chosen finalists will compete in the Bake-Off Contest finals in Las Vegas in November.
