READING, Pa. -

The 25th annual series of MidDay Café events in downtown Reading has drawn to a close.

Many center city workers spent their lunch hour enjoying food, fun and free music during the summer's last cafe, which took place in Penn Square Center.

The Blue Mt. Junction band entertained the crowd as a number of area restaurants, including the Callowhill Café, Mi Casa Su Casa and Chapman's Deli, served up their specialties.

The café also featured a touch of red, white and blue in tribute to those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

The café is hosted each year by the Reading Downtown Improvement District in various locations throughout center city.
