Two men who police said attacked a clerk during the violent robbery of a store in Reading last week have been nabbed.
Danny Pagan-Vasquez and the other man, Eduardo Medina, were wearing ski masks when police said they stormed into the Family Dollar store in the 400 West Douglass Street on the afternoon of Sept. 22.
The men dragged a female employee to the front counter and ordered her to open the store's safe, attacking her in the process, said police, who noted that the victim suffered a mild concussion.
The two men ran off without any money when the store's manager came out of the rear office, police said.
Officers apprehended Pagan-Vasquez, 47, of Reading, at the state parole office on Monday. He subsequently confessed to his role in the holdup and was charged with robbery and related offenses. He was committed to the Berks County Jail on $50,000 bail.
Medina, 49, of Reading, was arrested Wednesday.
Four other men are also still being sought in an unrelated robbery of a Family Dollar store in Cumru Township last week.
