READING, Pa. -

A Reading man wanted in the killings of two men in Boise, Idaho, is fighting his extradition on murder charges.

John Douglas' refusal to waive his extradition now forces authorities to proceed with a formal extradition process, which will involve a warrant being signed by Idaho's governor, officials said. A hearing is set for Oct. 22.

Douglas was captured on July 28 while walking near his home in the 400 block of South Seventh Street in Reading.

Douglas, police said, shot and killed two men and wounded a woman inside an apartment in Boise on May 8.

The victims were identified as Travontae Calloway, 27, and Elliot Bailey, 28, both of Boise. The injured woman was reportedly Calloway's girlfriend, who was shot in the arm.

The attorney for another suspect, Samari Winn, has said Calloway and Bailey stole 30 pounds of marijuana before their deaths.

Winn is facing trial on two counts of aiding and abetting murder and one count of aiding and abetting attempted murder.
