Fires at Heartland Settlement Co., nearby dumpster in Spring Township intentionally set, official says

SPRING TWP., Pa. -

A pair of fires that erupted inside a business and a nearby dumpster in Berks County were intentionally set, officials said Friday.

The fire at Heartland Settlement Co., 55 Commerce Dr., Spring Township, broke out just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A short time earlier, firefighters responded to a dumpster fire a few blocks away.

Both fires have been ruled arson, but no arrests have been made, said Commissioner Pat Brandenburg, Spring Twp. Fire Dept.
