The fugitive who sparked a massive manhunt in Berks County is now behind bars.

The wanted man was released from Reading Hospital today and is now behind bars in Berks County Prison.

Authorities say Harold Davis Jr. led police on a five-mile chase throughout southern Berks County, after being stopped for a routine truck inspection on I-176 near Morgantown on Thursday.

A trooper was on the truck when police say the suspect took off, forcing the trooper to hang on for dear life.

State police tried to shoot out the tires during the pursuit.

Police say Davis crashed and got away, sparking an intensive search that lasted about 21 hours.

According to authorities, Davis was nabbed near the he Chestnut Hill Archery Club in New Morgan on Friday morning.

He was then admitted into Reading Hospital after complaining about chest pains.

Officials say he was wanted for robbery in Florida.
