Police in Berks County are searching for a burglar with a craving for hot dogs and ice cream.

Someone forcibly entered the Shartlesville Playground's dining hall on North 4th Street in Upper Bern Township by pushing or kicking in a door, state police said.

The break-in happened sometime between 4 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

Once inside, the crook rummaged through the cabinets and refrigerator and cooked hot dogs and ate ice cream, police said. It was unclear whether anything else was taken.
