Children with diabetes are in for a sweet surprise this Halloween.

Boscov's stores in Berks County have teamed up with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for a Halloween candy exchange program.

Kids ages 14 and younger can trade in a bag of candy for a $10 Boscov's gift card.

Exchanges can be made at all three Boscov's stores in Berks County -- East in Exeter Township, North in Muhlenberg Township or Berkshire in Wyomissing -- from Nov. 1 through Nov. 7.

To take part in the exchange, however, you must register in advance by contacting the JDRF, attn. Beth Blasco, at bblasco@jdrf.org. The deadline to register is Fri., Oct. 25.
