A Berks County tradition kicked off  today by hitting all the right notes.

69 News was at the Kutztown Fairgrounds today for the start of the 65th annual Kutztown Folk Festival.

People got a chance to enjoy the music and all of that mouth-watering food.

While those who have exhibits at the festival..  enjoy talking about the region's culture.

"I grew up in Kutztown. I know about it. But... now I get to teach people the way it was like around here. I think it's something not a lot of kids get to do. So it's just cool to be a part of it," said Jordan Loeb

The festival is extending its hours this year... going until 8 every night.  It continues until July 6th.
