READING, Pa. -

A 21-year-old Berks County man is facing charges he sexually abused a teen girl in late October.

The victim -- a 14-year-old girl -- told police she had known Carlos Javier Soriano-Genao for about three years and that they had met through a local after-school program.

According to court documents, the girl said he wanted to be friends and 'chill' with her, and that at some point in their friendship he began to ask her 'sexual' questions.

In October of 2013, she said she went to his home, which was in Reading at the time, where he sexually assaulted her, police said. He also told her she couldn't tell anyone about what had happened.

He has been charged with statutory sexual assault, indecent exposure, corruption of minors and related offenses.
