MUHLENBERG TWP., Pa. -

It's an incredible journey with a message of hope.

A man is running across America to raise awareness about a rare disease that has no cure.

69 News was there when Noah Coughlan ran through Muhlenberg Township, Berks County, on Sunday.

He's running 3,100 miles to raise money against Batten, which is a rare and terminal neurological disease.

Coughlan started in San Francisco on July 27 and is running 38 miles a day -- rain or shine.

He's expected to complete his journey next Sunday in Boston.
