The St. Joseph Regional Health Network has tapped an Exeter Township woman to head its downtown Reading campus.

Mary Moyer has been named director of the outpatient facility at North 6th and Walnut streets, the health network announced Wednesday. Moyer has served as interim director since mid-March.

Moyer will oversee day-to-day operations and lead the continuing transformation of the campus to prepare it for a future focused on patient-centered medical home and disease registry and management, officials said.

The campus, which records more than 220,000 patient visits each year, also offers radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, dental, diabetes and wound care and hyperbaric oxygen services.

Prior to her promotion, Moyer directed the activities of the campus's family and women’s center, OB/GYN clinic and the pediatric clinic.

The campus, formerly Community General Hospital, is also home to a U.S. Veterans Affairs clinic and Haven Behavioral Health, an inpatient behavioral health care provider.
