Michael Medina identified as victim of 'suspicious death' in downtown Reading

READING, Pa. -

The coroner has identified the victim of a suspicious death in downtown Reading.

Michael Medina was found dead inside an apartment at 352 Penn St. on Wednesday.

An autopsy will be done Friday to determine how Medina, 27, died. In the meantime, police said they are investigating his death as a homicide, although they declined to release specifics about the case.

At the time of his death, Medina was awaiting trial in connection with the armed robbery of a Hess Express store in St. Lawrence on Oct. 9, 2011, police said.
