BIRDSBORO, Pa. -

One Berks County community is a step closer to having a new look.

Birdsboro is one step closer to getting a new town center and grocery store.

Officials unveiled plans for a 27,000 square-foot Boyer's Food Market at a meeting Monday night.

The store and shopping center will be located in the area of West First and South Furnace streets.

Officials said the store could be open by next Thanksgiving if everything goes according to plan.
