Members of the Olivet Boys and Girls Club will be showcasing their talents for all to see.

The children will gather Saturday to paint a large mural along the train tracks beneath the Court Street bridge in downtown Reading.

The location is fitting since much of the mural, featuring a train as its centerpiece, pays tribute to the city's rich railroad history.

Organizers said the artwork is a way for the club to beautify the city and tell a story at the same time.

The children's work, part of the Olivet Club's mentoring and the arts program, will be supervised by Jessica Alexander, an art teacher in the Conrad Weiser Area School District.

Anyone wishing to participate or view the painting in progress is welcome between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday.
