A fire in a Reading apartment building has left 11 people displaced, as well as damaging a barber shop located on the first floor.
The fire started just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North 9th Street.
Reading Fire Marshal Larry Moyer said the fire started on the second floor and significantly damaged three apartments, as well as a barber shop on the first floor.
A neighboring building also sustained minor damage, Moyer said.
One person was treated for minor smoke inhalation injuries.
The 11 people left displaced by the fire are being helped by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. There is no reason to believe it's suspicious, Moyer said.
