READING, Pa. -

Officials with Reading and several other municipalities are asking for changes after a bad batch of road salt was delivered in Berks County.

City officials met Thursday with representatives from the salt supplier, Cargill Inc. of Northampton County.

They're asking the company to improve the salt quality and to make sure the salt's cost is on par with the salt's quality.

Earlier this week, road crews said the salt from Cargill was clumpy and not very effective.
