Attendees asked to bring along non-perishable food donation
Patriotism will be alive and well at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading this Independence Day.
The Reading Symphony Orchestra announced plans Monday to present a free community concert and fireworks at the ballpark on July 4.
The concert, featuring many patriotic selections and a salute to our veterans, will begin at 8 p.m. Songs will include, "Fanfare for the Common Man," "1812 Overture" and "American Salute."
The concert will also feature a solo by RSO concertmaster Christopher Collins Lee, as well as guest performances by Tammy Black and Jeremy Galyon.
The night will end with a fireworks display.
While tickets are free and available at the RSO office and FirstEnergy Stadium, those in attendance are asked to bring a canned good or non-perishable food item to the concert to donate to the Orchestras Feeding America program.
