Hundreds of drivers flocked to Auto Spa of Wyomissing Friday afternoon all to take care of the same problem.

"We came to get our car washed because it is filthy," said Tim Moyer of Wernersville.

"The snow is piling up and I am just trying to keep it clean," said Michelle Bosch of Wernersville.

But for Jim Catchmark, it was more than just visibly seeing the outside of his car dirty.

"I am a mechanic and I was underneath a bunch of cars today and a lot of salt and a lot of frame rot. So I thought, you know what, I better get my car in and get it washed," said Jim Catchmark of Wyomissing.

On an average winter day, Auto Spa can see up to 700 cars come through its car wash and most people we have spoken with chose to clean their undercarriage.

"Especially with the Ford you have to take care of the break lines or the salt will really eat them up," said Pitts.

"Salt eats a lot of paint away and rusts your car so that is why I try and keep it clean," said Connie Cirulli of Sinking Spring.

But as old man winter has shown us already.

"We have had 10 snow storms. I have had to plow seven times. It is been a busy winter," said Pitts.

Customers know the sight of a clean, shiny car is only temporary.

"I am very happy. I am going to put it home in the garage," said Catchmark.
