A state police cruiser and stolen vehicle crashed in Hamburg, Berks County, Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. outside the Hamburg Market on North 4th Street.
The crash happened as a state police cruiser approached a stolen car, officials said. The two vehicles crashed head-on as the stolen car was turning around in the market parking lot, police said.
No one was seriously injured, but the trooper was taken to the hospital as a precaution; the suspect, whose name has yet to be released, was not taken to the hospital, police said.
Both vehicles were totaled.
One person is in custody in connection with the alleged vehicle theft and subsequent crash.
