READING, Pa. -

An aggressive enforcement campaign carried out by state police over the Easter weekend resulted in troopers citing hundreds of motorists.

State police, who announced their stepped-up efforts last week, unveiled results of their enforcement activities in Berks County on Monday.

Troopers based in Reading and Hamburg arrested nine people for driving under the influence and cited 257 drivers for speeding.

State police said they also investigated 15 accidents over the weekend, three of which were alcohol-related. Ten people were injured, although none fatally.

State police also issued seven seat belt warnings, 11 seat belt citations and one child passenger seat citation.
