"Long Island Medium" began its fourth season on TLC in May. The show follows Caputo's life as a typical Long Island wife and mom except for one distinct difference -- her ability to communicate with the dead. The show also covers how Caputo copes with the special challenges that her unique abilities create for her husband of 22 years, Larry, and her two children, aged 17 and 21.
Caputo, a practicing medium for 10 years, is writing her first book, "There's More to Life Than This: Healing Messages, Remarkable Stories, and Insight About the Other Side from the Long Island Medium." It's scheduled to be released Oct. 1.
