The cafe at 5th and Penn streets as traditionally served as the kickoff for the annual World War II weekend, with reenactors staging a mock battle in center city.
The MidDay Cafe will now be held next Wed., June 12 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., however, organizers said they can't guarantee any World War II activity.
Musicians Erich Cawalla and Cliff Starkey are still scheduled to provide free entertainment.
Food vendors will include the Callowhill Cafe, Chapman's Deli and Mi Casa Su Casa Cafe.
This is the 25th anniversary of the DID's MidDay Cafe series in downtown Reading.
The annual World War II Weekend will take place Friday through Sunday at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum, adjacent to the Reading Regional Airport, in Bern Township.
