Tim Smith, former congressional aide, to stand trial on indecent assault charges
A longtime aide to a former U.S. congressman will stand trial on indecent assault charges.
Tim Smith was in court Thursday for his preliminary hearing on one count each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.
Smith stands accused of inappropriately touching the adult son of one of his friends in September 2009.
Smith served as U.S. Rep. Tim Holden's district director from January 1993 until Holden left office in January 2013. He remains free on $50,000 bail.
