A tip called in to Crime Alert Berks County led to the arrest of a man wanted in the rape of a Hamburg woman last week, police said.

Keyen Camper was apprehended without incident just after noon Tuesday in Waynesboro, Franklin Co., said Chief Pedro Rivera, Hamburg Police Dept.

Camper, police said, forced his way into a home on South 3rd Street in Hamburg early on the morning of May 9 and physically and sexually assaulted a 24-year-old woman.

The victim, police said, managed to flee the home. She was subsequently treated at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Camper, who previously lived in Reading, is facing charges of rape, indecent assault, burglary, terroristic threats and related offenses. He's being held in the Franklin County Prison until he can be returned to Berks County.
