Police are trying to track down the person who robbed a convenience store in Berks County.

The holdup was reported shortly after noon Tuesday at the Turkey Hill store, 2240 Hampden Blvd., in Muhlenberg Township.

The robber, indicating to the clerk that he may have a handgun in his pocket, made off with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

According to initial reports from the scene, the robber ran south on Hampden Boulevard and got into the passenger side of a green Chrysler Sebring, which was parked on the lot of Albright Laundry.

The car, police said, had some sort of sticker affixed to the rear quarter panel of the passenger side.

The robber was described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s with dark hair, a beard and a mustache.

No one was injured.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Alert Berks County toll-free at 877-373-9913. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
