READING, Pa. -

A man has been arrested in the stabbings of two people during a fight at a bar in downtown Reading.

William P. Sims was charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault, police said Monday.

The stabbings happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. on June 16 at DeCarlo's Bar and Grill in the 200 block of Penn Street.

One of the victims, Jeremy Snuffer, 26, suffered a serious cut to his face, resulting in one of his ears being cut in half, police said.

A bouncer, Divine Jenkins, suffered a 6-inch slash wound to his abdomen when he stepped in to stop the attack, police said.

Sims, 31, of Reading, was committed to the Berks County Jail on $250,000 bail.
