READING, Pa. -

A high-profile case involving the theft of a puppy caught on camera has concluded with the suspect admitting to the crime.

Diane Taglieber pleaded guilty in Berks County Court to retail theft. She was sentenced by a judge to three years of probation.

Taglieber, police said, was seen on surveillance video picking a $700 Pug/Jack Russell mix out of its pen inside Zimmers Pets, 51 E. Philadelphia Ave., in Boyertown on May 18 and walking out of the store.

The puppy was later found abandoned in a park in Pottstown, Montgomery County, and reunited to its litter-mates.

Two other women who were with Taglieber and their children inside the store at the time of the theft were not charged.
