Man found guilty of sexually abusing special needs woman
A man from Reading has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a mentally challenged woman.
Prosecutors say Joseph Lombardo, 60, was convicted by a jury Wednesday.
Officials say Lombardo assaulted the victim multiple times between 2009 and 2011.
They say he operated a transportation company and drove the victim to and from Special Olympics events.
Prosecutors say they feel that justice was served.
"We felt pretty confident because we had a victim who was so strong and so brave and we had detectives who did such great work investigating this case,' said Jonathan Kurland.
Sentencing is set for February.
Lombardo's attorney has not returned our call.
