A 21-year-old man who was killed in a crash in Berks County was a Kutztown University student.

D. Seth Fuoti, of Blandon, was killed Wednesday when his car slammed into the back of a tractor trailer.

It happened at Kutztown and Krause roads, near the end of the Kutztown Bypass, in Richmond Township.

Bob Watrous, Associate Vice Provost/Dean of Students at Kutztown University, released a statement Thursday.

It read in part: "Our hearts go out to Seth’s family and friends and I share their grief and sadness during this difficult time."

Fuoti was a junior at KU and he was a Leisure and Sport Studies major.

Counseling services are in place for members of the university community.

According to school officials, a candlelight vigil will be held at the campus on Monday.
