Man stabbed in Reading; suspect in custody

A fight in Reading led to one man stabbing another Thursday afternoon, police said.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Perkiomen Avenue shortly after 2 p.m.

Police found the victim with at least one stab wound. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but officers on the scene told 69 News his injury didn't appear to be life-threatening.

The suspect was apprehended, police said.

A short time later, police were dispatched to the 600 block of Mulberry Street for another stabbing. Initial reports from the scene were that two people -- the victim and the suspect -- were transported to local hospitals.
