Man to spend life in prison for murder in Shoemakersville

A man convicted of taking part in a deadly stabbing in Shoemakersville will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Mark Ellis was sentenced Wednesday afternoon. He was convicted Tuesday night of 2nd degree murder and robbery. He was found not guilty of 1st and 3rd degree murder.
Ellis and two other men, police said, robbed and killed Stephen Leibensperger, 49, in Shoemakersville in Dec. 2011.
Ellis is expected to appeal.
