Muhlenberg church planning day-long pumpkin festival

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Muhlenberg Twp., Berks Co., is preparing to celebrate the season with a Pumpkin Festival.

The annual event on Sun., Nov. 4 will feature food, crafts, entertainment, kids' carnival games, inflatable rides and hayrides. 

The festival will run from 12:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. New for this year will be a free performance by the Mudflaps, an oldies and dance band, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

The church's youth group will also set up a haunted house, with this year's theme being "Camp Gruesome." The haunted house will be open from 6 p.m. until the festival's closing at 9 p.m.
