The Northern Berks Regional Police Commission is downsizing its force by one officer.
The decision was made as part of the commission's approval Wednesday of its yearly budget, which came in just under $2 million.
The budget includes downsizing the force from 14 officers to 13.
One retiring officer is not being replaced. The reason for the attrition is to save money, officials said.
