Truck hits pole in Maidencreek Twp.

Police are investigating what led to a pickup truck slamming into a utility pole in Berks County Thursday night.

The accident happened just before 10 Thursday night in the area of Maidencreek and Evansville roads in Maidencreek Township.

Police say a truck crashed into this pole -- basically sawing it in half -- and then rolled over onto its side.

There is no word on the condition of the driver.
