Police said a man was hit by a train while trying to run away from an officer in Spring Township, Berks County Friday night.
It happened just before midnight near the Redner's Market on Penn Avenue in Spring Township.
Police said they were initially called there for the report of a man running around in his boxers.
When an officer responded, they said the man tried to run away. They said he even jumped into a stranger's car and tried to get her to drive away.
Police said the man survived, but is seriously injured. He was flown to University of Penn hospital in Philadelphia.
Police haven't released his name, but said he's in his 30s.
Officers said the man could be facing charges.
No one else was injured.
