Authorities have charged a 63-year-old man from the Birdsboro area with impersonating a public servant.
They said Matthew Fox led some hunters to believe he was a Game Commission officer.
They said Fox wore a hat with the Pennsylvania Game Commission logo and claimed he was a lieutenant.
Officials said it happened on the first day of rifle deer season at French Creek State Park.
