Police investigate shooting

 Police in Reading are investigating a case in which a man said he was shot and wounded during a robbery attempt.

It happened at around midnight Saturday  at McIlvain and Neversink streets.

The man told investigators that a robber pushed him against a wall and shot him in the shoulder, police said.

The man is expected to recover.
