Police renew plea for help in solving restaurant robbery
Police on Monday renewed their plea for help in catching the men behind what they called the "takeover" robbery of a restaurant two weeks ago.
The three masked robbers, armed with guns, stormed into the Crossroads Family Restaurant, 4643 Pottsville Pike, in Muhlenberg Twp., Berks Co., at 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 6, police said.
About 30 employees and customers were inside the restaurant at the time, police said.
Several employees told police they were pistol-whipped by the robbers, but nobody was seriously injured.
The robbers made off with cash.
Crime Alert Berks County is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the robbery. The toll-free number to call is 877-373-9913. Callers can remain anonymous.
