ROYERSFORD, Pa. -

Police in Montgomery County are investigating Wednesday after they say a car was found in the Schuylkill River.

They say the car was discovered around 5:00 p.m.

Police say they believe it entered the water near First Avenue and Arch Street in Royersford and floated a mile down the river.

No one was found inside, but authorities say the trunk and windows were open.

A search team is still combing the area.
