A power outage may have led to several crashes at a busy intersection in Tilden Township on Wednesday.

At least two accidents happened minutes apart in the area of Route 61 and Cabela Drive, near the Tilden Ridge Shopping Center.

Met-Ed said a bad underground cable caused a power outage around 10:30 a.m. Most customers had service restored within a half-hour.

No serious injuries were reported in the crashes, but officials helped direct traffic on Route 61 well into the afternoon.
