Some local first responders will start the new year with some new gear.
As a holiday gift, the Reading Health System is giving hearing assistance devices to some local EMS teams. The hearing aids were dropped off at several responder locations Friday.
The health system says the gifts are a thank you to the EMS teams for undergoing training and for all their hard work.
