READING, Pa. -

An 18-year-old Reading woman was shot in the face by a teenage boy early Sunday, police said.

Matthew Cirillo, 16, of Reading, got out of a car and chased the woman down the 1100 block of Robeson Street around 3:30 a.m., police said.

According to police, he put a gun against her face and shot her. They said she ran away and he fired two more shots at her.

Cirillo was taken into custody, and when police searched his home later, they said they found drugs and guns.

He is charged as an adult with attempted homicide and related charges.

The woman told police she knew her shooter. There's no word on her condition.
