The holiday celebration got started a little early Friday in Cumru Township, and it was all for a good cause.
Hundreds of people flocked to California Bar and Grill to drop off donations for Toys for Tots. Jackie and Scott from the the Y-102 Morning Show broadcast live from the restaurant all morning.
Firefighters from the city of Reading also presented more than two thousand dollars worth of toys they collected.
Organizers say the donated toys will be sorted and handed out to make the holidays a little brighter for families in need.
"We know there's a lot of under privileged kids," said Al Hulsizer, owner of California Bar and Grill. "We're just hoping that this even can change some of those lives over the Christmas holiday, and that's our goal."
This is the tenth year California Bar and Grill has hosted the Toys for Tots drive and holiday party.
