School board votes to keep charter school
The I-LEAD Charter School in Reading will continue serving the district for at least five more years.
The Reading school board voted seven-to-one to renew its agreement with the school.
The charter school is open to students in grades nine through 12.
It's on North Eighth Street but it will eventually move to the CNA Building on Penn Street.
Charter schools are funded by taxpayers and private donations.
