A student at Reading High School was arrested after stabbing another student with a screwdriver, police said.
The stabbing happened at around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday on the second floor of the high school, police said.
The stabbing stemmed from an earlier incident in which police said the accused stabber punched a girl in the face during an altercation in the cafeteria around 10:30 a.m.
Nearly four hours later, another student who was angry about the incident tried to fight the suspect, police said.
That's when the suspect stabbed the student in the hand, and the screwdriver went right through one of his pinky fingers, police said.
The screwdriver-toting student was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, police said.
